CycleSport Victoria's Late Entry Policy
CycleSport Victoria announces that the following changes will be made to the Race Entry Policy effective as of the 1stJanuary 2010 - 

Close of Entries
Entries for all events will now close a minimum of 9 days before the event as follows:

  • Weekend events – 4.00pm on the Thursday 9/10 days prior to the event

If deemed necessary this may be earlier to allow for handicapping/grading in larger events. All closing dates will continue to be displayed on the CycleSport Victoria website.  Late entries will be accepted for 24 hours after the close of entry date.  A late entry surcharge will apply to all late entries as follows:

  • Individual Entries             $50 surcharge
  • Team Entries                   $100 surcharge

CycleSport Victoria reserves the right to add invited riders to entry lists after this time for major events.

Manual Entries
A manual entry surcharge of $5 will be applied to all entries submitted on a manual entry form.  The $5 surcharge will not apply to riders using existing rider credit

Grading Policy and Information
All riders entering the event have the opportunity to enter the grade they choose via the CSV On-line Race Entry System, however the following rules are applied:

1. The grade a participant has entered will be reviewed an may be re-graded after discussions with the CSV Road Handicapper and the Tour grading committee.

2.  Any rider regardless of ability may race A grade if they choose to

3.   Masters 1 and Masters 2 riders regardless of ability may enter B grade
3a. Masters 3 and Masters 4 riders regardless of ability may enter C grade
3b. Masters 5 and older riders regardless of ability may enter D grade.
(Prize money is awarded to the winner and place getters in the Masters categories in the above grades)

4.  Riders that have previously finished the Tour in the Top 10 on GC MAY be considered being put in the next higher grade this year. CONDITIONS APPLY.
4a. Riders that have previously finished the Tour in the Bottom 10 on GC MAY be considered being put in the next lower grade this year. CONDITIONS APPLY.

Reminder: As with all previous editions of the Tour, prize money is weighted throughout the grades, A grade more than B grade, more than C grade and more than D grade.  This also holds true for the Masters divisions.  Please consider this when entering.
